hot hot hot
I’ve read a lot about padron peppers recently as a great find at the farmer’s market. Blistered hot and salted, they’re supposedly the perfect snack or appetizer with friends.
While I was warned that these could be hot from Kia, the vendor of these peppers, I wanted to take my chances and try this gem.
Well she was right! They were HOT! My sinuses are definitely clear, but even through the heat, I will say, they were quite tasty and a fun way to start a market meal… once your senses are awakened.
PS: She did tell me that the peppers grown in June and July are usually sweeter than those grown in August and September. I must make a note of that next year!
